Student Visa (F or M):
Acceptance by a SEVP-approved school and the original Form I-20 issued by that institution.
SEVIS I-901 fee payment, DS-160 confirmation, visa-fee receipt, passport and photograph.

The Process:
Assess the applicant’s purpose of travel and select the correct nonimmigrant visa category.
Complete and review the DS-160, pay the required fees and create the appointment profile.
Schedule the U.S. Embassy interview and prepare the applicant’s supporting evidence.
Attend the interview and biometrics process, then track passport return or any administrative-processing request.
